Name:// Skywing Clan:// Stream Gender:// Tom Moons:// 15 Overview of Pelt:// With a pale gold pelt, he is quite muscular and strong, with warm green eyes. Upon his shoulders are white wing shaped markings. Full Pelt:// He is considered to be a rarity, though by no means does it make him an outcast. His pelt is a beautiful pale gold, and on a warm, green-leaf day, it shimmers with health and beauty. It's not very long, perhaps an inch or two thick, and it sheds water easily. His shocking emerald eyes look out of place in such a beautiful coat, though they are as flawless as the real gem. It's a bright burst of color after staring at his pale gold pelt.
A neat, but powerful triangular head rests upon a strong, lithe neck and muscular shoulders. His ears are in near perfect porportion to his head, as are they to the rest of his body. His body is thin and lithe, though most of it is covered in muscles from long moons of training with other cats. His tail is firm and can be easily manipulated into doing nearly any trick, whether it be wrapping it around a foe's neck, or dragging bracken toward the camp to fortify its walls.
His claws are an entirely different story. The rest of his body may be lithe and rather small; his claws are long and curved, like the talon of an eagle or falcon. Their ends are incredibly sharp, and whenever he feels agitated, he'll often scratch the ground, gouging deep wounds into the earth. In battle, he is a skillful warrior and often keeps his mighty claws sheathed so the enemy will escape relatively unharmed. However, when duty calls, he will leaped with unsheathed claws and attack for the good of his Clan.
Personality:// Though many cats would be tempted with ambition to become more powerful, he remains a steadfast warrior, one of the most trusted cats in SandClan. All of his ambition is channeled to being the best warrior he can be in service of his Clan. His mentor is partially responsible for training this extraordinary cat, though his parents were also a major factor in the growing up of this cat.
Though steadfast and loyal throughout SandClan's toughest times, this tom can be stubborn. He doesn't like to be bothered, and if one does approach him while he rests, he will most likely be irritable. However, in battle, his true being emerges, the kind, sensitve Skywing that commands a patrol of cats with just the right amount of authority and leadership.
History://
Skykit His growing up was as normal as any other Clan kit's life could be. He had a wonderful mother, and a father that was devoted to both. Nearly every cat adored this firey young tom that had such an unusual pelt. Except this one other tom.
Jealousy drove his anger, for he had been one of Skykit's parents' first litter, and had been fawned over as Skykit was being now. But all that left him when Skykit, the last litter of his parents, was born. In truth, he was Skykit's brother, which made him kin, but he felt no loyalty to him. Even when he kept trying to assasinate his brother, he felt no twinges of regret, no small voices inside his head.
Then one night, Skykit played alone in the moonlight, his pale gold pelt gleaming silver, as though a warrior of StarClan joined the earthly Clans that moon-high. His brother decided to carry out his final plan of revenge that night....
Skykit was lucky; he had padded just outside of the medicine cat's den, following his ball of moss when his brother, pretending to be joyful and cheery, fed him nightshade. He collapsed, and for a few moments struggled against the compressing feeling against his throat. His gasps alerted the medicine cat, and s/he saved him.
His brother was exiled from the Clan at dawn, when Skykit made his proclamation. His parents had stood stonily at their last kit's side when he made his announcement, watching their son leave their Clan. Skykit's mother had always told their father that Skykit's brother had been a trouble maker. Moons passed uneventfully after this, though Skykit had learned to disguise his feelings from others.
Skypaw
His apprentice ceremony was a joyful one, his mother overjoyed that her favorite, though she would never admit it, son had become an apprentice. His mentor was Redfur, a dark ginger tom with darker markings. He had a personality much like Skypaw, and the two got along well.
Redfur led his apprentice well, teaching him everything he knew about the territory. Skypaw always thought his head was bursting with knowledge each and every night. He loved these days, and they passed without his notice, though he was not mouse-brained enough to forget the Clan's hunger as leaf-bare approached.
The first night of leaf-bare, the night when a blizzard hit StreamClan, Skypaw and Redfur were traveling back to camp, jaws full of prey. Redfur, older and slightly weaker than his apprentice, stumbled, and almost immediately was out of sight by Skypaw. Instantly, Skypaw dropped his prey and braved the blizzard to find his mentor. When he did, Redfur's eyes shone silver as he started to go to StarClan. In the breath before he died, Redfur praised his apprentice in his bravery and in a whisper told Skypaw that he would make a great warrior. So Redfur died.
When the blizzard subsided, Skypaw dragged the body home through the snow, and the Clan mourned him. Skypaw was also made a warrior, but his warrior ceremony was bittersweet with the memory of Redfur still in the air.
Skywing
As the moons passed, Skywing grew more and more familiar with the territory that he called his home. He knew every crook and every tree, every Clan boundary by heart. Whenever he walked, his paws always carried him instinctively to the right path. He grew fond of the terrain like no other, a place next to Redfur in his heart. Now, as he ages still, he still loves the terrain he grew up on.
